Due to the fact that apart from a designer I am an artist I decided that I am going to paint my design solution on silk. In this way I will create an aesthetic piece of design that is either practical or beautiful. Dogs accents will be a must- have so my drawing will serve as an accessory to the scarf that is actually the new 'doggy style' accessory. Both an accessory and clothing?

The second thing that needs to be thought about is the presentation of my idea which happens to be the actual piece of design. Because the design sector I investigate is the fashion industry, the design solution I would want to achieve should be based on the idea of clothing and accessories. To make my creative piece appealing and practical it woul be both clothing and an accessory. Here comes the question- which fashion design item is either accessory or clothing? The scarf, of course!

Dogs everywhere

As I said, my main idea is to create a dog motif pattern that can be used as a fashion accent instead of using an actual animal as an accessory. This would be the first action that would create a new face of the dog's fashion trend across the people. First of all, I am going to look for some similar motifs that are already on the market although their target is not the same like mine:

The idea

Dog's fashion is a relatively new trend but fashion forecasts tend to treat it as a growing business niche with a successful future. However, not everything around it is pink because it rarely pays attention to the emotions and the health status of the user. The basic point my report tried to touch was the use of dogs as fashion accesories. That is why, the main problem I am going to tackle with is how to create a new way of using the animals as trendy accents to our individual style. For finding a solution of this problem I am going to investigate fashion as a broad range of materials used for creating a piece of design that is appreciated and loved by people. To make the future trend not harmful to dogs I am going to research different ways of using the puppy motif as a main part of the fashion process. People never ask themselves why they wear something- the only thing that matters for them is to be 'up-to-date'. Being up-to date in the dogs fashion market does not necessarily mean using the puppy as a fashion accessory in the real meaning of the word. A lor of the best designs created ever are based on metaphors. Although the solution of this problem may seem hard to be found, there are actually plenty of ways to reach the same result by following a different path which is not the selfish one.The key to success is to broaden your horizons and look at the issue from a different, original perspective. So why we actually have to use real dogs as fashion accessories? Why we do not use the main feature of the fashion itself? Design! Design! Design! The powerful tool that turns even the most invisible object into an art for the eye and practicality for the soul. Dog patterns will be the basis of what I am going to research more in depth because I see in it a new, more puppy-friendly direction. In fact, I am going to use fabric materials as a way of transforming the respective trend and creating a better role model to be followed.

Dog's fashion project

My last project analysed in depth the reasons for why people dress their dogs and is that good for the puppies or not. Furthermore it looked for the reasons why this market turns out to be so highly-profitable and how media plays a vital role in forming people's tastes. That is why I treat my report as a psychological investigation. It compares reasons and results of the humans' decision-making abilties and expresses the negative effect of their selfish actions in a global plan(especially for the pets). The broad research I was able to do inspired me to broaden the boundaries of my analysis and look for some new directions fror qualitative investigation which would make my overall thesis even more detailed. Furthermore, this would help me to find a solution of this innovative trend problem in a way that is profitable for both of the sides.

Dogs and fashion

Dogs and fashion... Two words whose meanings are so different from each other that I have always wondered why designers have always wanted and tried to connect them in a whole piece. I am going for a walk and I see people who are dressing their pets like small children or fashionable ladies that are using their dogs as accessories to prove that they are different. Being different is the main feature of the trendy person but people rarely think what is the price of being 'up-to-date'. Does it hurt someone's feelings? Is it eco-friendly? Is it friendly to the animals? Or being chic at all price is just an egoistic way of making yourself feel remarkable? Finding the answer of these question is not hard at all... Just look into the eyes of your puppy but look at them with care.
